Throughout our 31 years Sparta Community Theatre has evolved and grown. As we continue to grow, we want to make sure that we stay true to who we are as a group as well as making sure that we keep with our tradition of building a safe place for all people to grow and learn.  

We have always been a part of Sparta Area Schools and have involved as many students as possible but to help us stay with our tradition we want to make sure that we are highlighting our focus on emphasizing our partnership and involvement with the Sparta Area Schools student body.  In addition to the theatre experience, we want to be intentional in incorporating ways for students to learn from and form relationships with trusted members of our theatre community.  Whether this be with acting, singing, dancing, homework, or life in general we want to build a community that people can trust. 

We feel that this leads directly to the Vision and Mission of Sparta Area Schools.

With this in mind, we have decided to rename our group to Sparta Schools and Community Theatre.  We feel this will help highlight the focus of what our group has always been about, theatre, family, and community.  Here’s to many more dramatic and musical years together!
